Synthesis of azanucleosides through regioselective ring-opening of epoxides catalyzed by sulphated zirconia under microwave and solvent-free conditions.
New azanucleosides were obtained using sulphated zirconia (ZS) as catalyst in the nucleophilic oxirane ring opening reaction of 1-allyl-3-(oxiran-2-ylmethyl) pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione and 1-allyl-5-methyl-3-(oxiran-2-ylmethyl)-pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione, with (S)-prolinol. The new templates were obtained with good yields following a route which exploits the reactivity of epoxides in the pres...
متن کاملMetal-free borylative ring-opening of vinyl epoxides and aziridines.
A rational approach towards the borylative ring-opening of vinylepoxides and vinylaziridines, by the in situ formed MeO(-)→bis(pinacolato)diboron adduct, has been developed. The enhanced nucleophilic character of the Bpin (sp(2)) moiety from the reagent favours the SN2' conjugated B addition with the concomitant opening of the epoxide and aziridine rings. The reaction proceeds with total chemos...
متن کاملMetal-free ring-opening of epoxides with potassium trifluoroborates.
The ring-opening of epoxides with potassium trifluoroborates proceeds smoothly in the presence of trifluoroacetic anhydride under metal-free conditions. The reactions are regioselective and afford a single diastereomer. Both electron-rich and electron-poor aryltrifluoroborates are tolerated.
متن کاملMelamine trisulfonic acid catalyzed regioselective nitration of aromatic compounds under solvent-free conditions
A simple, mild and efficient method for the regioselective nitration of various aromatic compounds usingpoly(4-vinylpyridinium nitrate) (P4VPyN) in the presence of melamine trisulfonic acid (MTSA), is reported. This method provides several advantages such as good selectiveity between ortho and para positions ofaromatic compounds, clean procedure, simple work-up, short reaction times, solvent-fre...
متن کاملNanoalumina sulfonic acid catalyzed rapid N-formylation under solvent-free conditions
A rapid and chemoselective method for the N-formylation of structurally diverse anilines with formic acid using nanoalumina sulfonic acid (NASA) at 70oC under solvent-free condition has been developed. The catalyst was found to be compatible with different functional groups and the formylation proceeded smoothly with anilines bearing electron withdrawing as well as electron donating substituents.
